My mom never asks me about my personal life and I didn’t have anyone to introduce to her so I’ve never bothered coming out until today. Or actually, she said “So you can tell me this is none of my business but…” *incredibly drawn out pause* “Are you gay?”
I responded in affirmation, and she continued “You know, ‘cause I wasn’t sure. I know you like to fuck with people sometimes (she’s referring to how I dress and sometimes I say or do things to people just to see how they’ll respond).”
And slightly later “Do you have a girlfriend?” and “Do you want kids?” (so she could talk to me about mutual funds).
And best of all, “I’m so excited. I don’t know why I’m so excited. I think it’s because we’re sharing? Sharing!”
I love my mom. She always supports me. I wish I could share her with people who need a nice mom.
